Admission
Your general admission to the Cincinnati Art Museum is free every day, made possible by a generous gift from The Richard and Lois Rosenthal Foundation.

Saturday's free admission is made possible by The Thomas J. Emery Free Day Endowment established by Mary Emery in 1906.

Free general admission for children is made possible in part through an endowment established by Cincinnati Financial Corporation/The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. Special education program fees may apply to children.

Entrance and Parking
The Cincinnati Art Museum no longer charges for special exhibitions or general admission and has instated a $4 per vehicle parking charge. Art Museum members and volunteers receive free parking. School groups recieve free parking if they reserve in advance with the Tour Coordinator at (513) 639-2975. Handicap parking spaces and an access ramp are available near the DeWitt entrance (located at the rear of the Art Museum). In general, parking is limited, and at certain events, off-site shuttles are provided to accommodate demand.

The Museum Shop

Visit the Museum Shop at the Cincinnati Art Museum for logo merchandise, posters, exhibition-related publications, unique jewelry, and gift items. All proceeds from sales of shop merchandise benefit the continuance of educational programs, exhibitions, and conservation efforts at the Art Museum. The shop is open during regular Art Museum operating hours, or you can visit our online shop. Art Museum members receive a 10 percent discount on all merchandise, excluding memberships. The Terrace Café
Visit the Terrace Café for a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts, along with wine, beer, and appetizers. The Terrace Café is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Mondays. The cafe also offers outdoor dining in the Alice Bimel Courtyard during warm weather. WiFi, thanks to Lily Pad, Metro and Time Warner Business Class, is available in the café and the courtyard. Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives
Founded in 1881, the Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives is located in the Alms wing of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Its extensive collections include nearly seventy thousand books and bound periodicals, five hundred thousand pamphlets and clippings, fifteen thousand auction catalogues, fifteen thousand mounted reproductions, and five hundred videotapes. The Library is open Tuesday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and the Archives is open by appointment only. Public Transportation
The Art Museum is accessible via Metro bus #1. Metro bus schedules are available at the Member or Visitor Services Desks in the front lobby. For further information, please call MetroCenter at (513) 621-4455.

Photography
You are welcome to photograph and videotape in the permanent collection galleries, but lights or tripods are not permitted. Photography of temporary exhibitions, works on loan, works created after 1978, or works by living artists is not permitted.
 

Sketching and Copying
You are welcome to sketch with dry media. Copyists working with wet media may obtain a free permit at the Visitor Services Desk. Sketching and copying are not permitted of temporary exhibitions, works on loan, works by living artists, or works created after 1978.

Baby Strollers and Diaper Changing
Your child’s stroller is permitted throughout the Cincinnati Art Museum. If you need a stroller, the Art Museum supplies a limited number free of charge, available in the coatroom off the main lobby. Diaper-changing stations are also available in all restrooms that are handicapped accessible.

Coat Room
All packages, briefcases, shopping bags, and other excessively large items (larger than 11 x 15 x 4 inches), including recording equipment, must be left in the coatroom in the lockers provided. The Art Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Elevators
First floor: Just beyond the Great Hall providing access to the ground floor and second floor gallery 214
First floor: Near the Terrace Café (off the Great Hall) providing access to second floor gallery 220 and third floor gallery 301.

Wheelchairs
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for your use free of charge and are located in the coatrooms near both entrances.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in the Art Museum. Please check in with the security guard in the front lobby or at the DeWitt entrance upon arrival.

First Floor: Family restroom in the Great Hall
Second Floor: Men’s and women’s restrooms in gallery 213.
Ground Floor: Men’s and women’s restrooms next to the Fath Auditorium.

For Visitors with Visual Impairments
You are invited to experience the Cincinnati Art Museum’s collection using descriptive language and hands-on activities in a docent- or staff-guided touch tour. Please call (513) 639-2975 for more information or to arrange a tour.

Assisted Listening Devices
Assisted listening devices are available for your use free of charge in the Art Museum’s Fath Auditorium during lectures and event in that area.

Interpretation
Sign Language: Interpreters may be provided by the Art Museum upon request for any tour. Arrangements must be made one week in advance.

Foreign Language: Tours may be conducted in English, French, Spanish, or German. Foreign language speaking tours must be scheduled at least one month in advance.

Wheelchair Accessible Auditorium
The Art Museum’s Fath Auditorium is wheelchair accessible and equipped with removable seats. Please call (513) 639-2971 at least 24 hours in advance to be sure the seats are properly removed for your visit.
