Explore the Art Museum, experiment with art, and express your creativity in this new monthly program for adult visitors. Inspired by the beautiful paper scrolls in the Masterpieces of Japanese Art exhibition, this month’s project will allow visitors to experience the art of Japanese papermaking through the use of tools, materials and papers handmade in Japan. Margaret Rhein, of Terrapin Paper Mill in Cincinnati, will guide visitors in making their own paper using Kozo and Abaca fibers with natural inclusions like Japanese maple leaves, dried flowers and ferns.
Reservations required. $10 general admission, $5 for members and college students.
