NOV 3 Western Floral Arranging Demonstration with Jim Jones, 1 - 2 p.m.

Join Art in Bloom arrangers for a special demonstration of European and Western style floral arranging.

FREE. Reservations not required.

 

NOV 3 Evening in Bloom, 6 - 9 p.m.

Enjoy elegant hors d’oeuvres, wine, special cocktails and musical entertainment along with the freshest look at Art in Bloom. Watch professional designers interpret artworks with flowers right before your eyes and have an opportunity to discuss their work with them. The Museum Shop will be open, and we’ll have complimentary valet parking.

$100 per person | $150 per benefactor (Note: Benefactor donations include program recognition if received by Oct. 15).

NOV 4 Light Brunch, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Great Hall

Relax with friends, listen to music, and savor a festive, light box lunch in the Great Hall. The Deputy Director, Collections, Anita Ellis, a renowned authority on Rookwood pottery, will give a brief presentation of the History of Rookwood Pottery as well as share her thoughts on our Art in Bloom 2011 Signature Rookwood Pottery Vase designed by Carl Schmidt.

NOV 4 Afternoon High Tea, 2 - 4 p.m.

The Proctor & Gamble Gallery

Enjoy High Tea with sandwiches and sweets, while listening to music. Curator of Fashions Art and Textiles Cynthia Ameus will share insights on her special exhibition.

$30 per person

NOV 4 The Art of Ikebana with Brenda Baird, 1 - 2 p.m.

Discover Ikebana, a Japanese art form in which nature and humanity are brought together, with a demonstration by Ikebana artists.

NOV 5 Family First Saturday: Blooming Art, 1 – 4 p.m.

Happening at the same time as the Art Museum’s Art in Bloom, this Family First Saturday is all about  flowers—in many different forms, of course! Join us for hands-on art projects, local artists, music, scavenger hunts, and a special performance by Happen Inc.

NOV 6 Jazz in Bloom, 1 - 4 p.m.

The Proctor & Gamble Gallery & Great Hall

Make time for some delicious light fare and jazzy entertainment before or after your tour of Art in Bloom. Hosted by the Donald P. Sowell Committee of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
