The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a full-time tour coordinator in the Learning & Interpretation division.
Responsibilities: Working in the Learning & Interpretation department, this candidate will be in charge of scheduling all on-site docent-guided tours and self-guided tours (schools and adults). Duties also include, but are not limited to, organizing the scheduling of off-site programs, scheduling on-site programs, assisting and advising educators in tour topics, assisting in the development of self-guiding tours and training materials, evaluating of ongoing programs, and assisting in the development of Art Museum publications relating to touring programs and training materials.
Requirements: BA in art history, art education, studio art, or related field, with 1-3 years experience in the organization of programs and volunteers. Some knowledge of art education, museum education, and current educational reform issues (pre-K-12) will be a valuable asset.
Excellent management and organizational skills, the ability to communicate (speaking and writing) with a wide range of people, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with volunteers and professionals are required. Candidate must be able to organize statistics and produce on-going reports that provide both attendance figures and analysis. Telephone and email communication skills are essential.
