Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Materials (AICCM) More and more, conservators are coming out of the lab and into the public areas of museums and galleries in order to help people understand and appreciate the often complex, technically demanding work we do. Evenings for Educators: See It & Make It: Daoism in Art

4:00 – 7:00 p.m. (registration and refreshments 4-5 p.m., program begins at 5 p.m.)

A spin off from the popular “Make It & Take Its” this year we are hosting two “See It & Make Its,” which include docent-led tours through a special exhibition and a hands-on art making component in response to the art viewed. This evening, curators present on the exhibition, Realm of the Immortals: Daoist Art in the Cincinnati Art Museum. Following, we explore ways to integrate the concepts of Chinese Daoism as both a philosophy and “folk religion” into classroom curricula.

Participating teachers will receive CEU certificates in May.

Graduate credit available for an additional fee through Ashland University.
