Cincinnati Art Museum Have you met "Ghost Cat"? :) Why do you think a cat was roaming around CAM in the 1940s? What would you have named this spooky kitty? Interesting to think about! Our Mary R. Schiff Library Archivist Geoff found some interesting info on the history of felines at the Art Museum... “As it happens, I was looking through some of the museum’s old account books recently and noticed there used to be a weekly order for “cat meat”. Could this have been an offering to appease the spirit of ghost cat..? Or maybe it was just to feed the museum’s resident mouser, but that’s not so spooky!” #throwbackthursday #halloween. Evenings for Educators: Understanding History and Culture through Fashion and Craft

Join us as the curators of What’s New: Fashion and Contemporary Craft share how the recent fashion and craft additions to the Cincinnati Art Museum’s permanent collection, all created since 1950, teach the diverse trends, ideas, events, and characteristics of our time. Learn how fashion and craft can enrich both your art and core curriculum.

 

Time: 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. (registration and refreshments 4-5 p.m., program begins at 5 p.m.)

Individual Sessions: $10 Art Museum Members; $20 non-members; $5 students

Participating teachers will receive CEU certificates in May.

Graduate credit available for an additional fee through Ashland University.
