Cincinnati Art Museum Don't forget, this weekend is your last chance to see "Up at Bat: Warhol and Baseball". For the first time on record, the Cincinnati Art Museum brings together Andy Warhol’s three known paintings of baseball players, each of whom rose to the level of pop celebrity during his lifetime. This exhibition includes; - CAM’s 1985 painting of Cincinnati Reds player-manager, Pete Rose, commissioned in anticipation of Rose breaking Ty Cobb’s record of 4,191 hits. - "Baseball", 1962, on loan from the Nelson-Atkins Museum, portraying Roger Maris - The 1977 portrait of Tom Seaver, who pitched his only no hitter as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, lent by the Andy Warhol Museum. Evenings for Educators: Sublime Beauty: Raphael’s Woman with Unicorn

Raphael’s Portrait of Lady with a Unicorn on loan from the Galleria Borghese in Rome is on view due to the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco in collaboration with the Foundation for Italian Art & Culture. On a docent-guided tour, view this portrait, painted around 1505, and learn the story behind the artist and this mysterious sitter during a lecture by Curatorial Assistant, Anne Buening. Furthermore, collect ways to bring the High Renaissance into your classroom, as educational material on this period will be provided.

 

Reservations and refreshments available 4 - 5 p.m., program begins at 5 p.m.

 

Participating teachers will receive CEU certificates in May.

Graduate credit available for an additional fee through Ashland University.

Individual sessions: $10 Art Museum Members; $20 non-members; $5 students.

Series pricing (all 8 sessions): $70 Art Museum Members; $150 non-members.
