Dialogues with Artists : One on One

January 29, 2016 - 07:00 pm to 08:00 pm

Dialogues with Artists events take place 7 – 8 p.m. with the general Art Museum remaining open until 9 p.m. for Art After Dark.


Engaging a work of visual art is an intimate experience. At each event in this new series, participants will have the opportunity to see up close a work of art by each of two participating artists, hear the artists speak about their work and get involved into the open discussion of the works and their context.


Join us for wine & cheese and informal conversation with the artists after the event in the intimate setting of the new rooftop library space, located in the old building of the Art Academy of Cincinnati.


JANUARY 29, 2016:

Sarah Francis Hollis is an artist, educator, curator and entrepenuer who holds an MFA in Fine Art from the University of Cincinnati. Most recently she had a solo exhibition at Thomas More College and work in Memory Palace at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati. An avid diaristic writer, Sarah had a substantial portion of her journal published in the London based visual arts magazine, Miser & Now.


Keith Benjamin is a sculptor and Professor of Sculpture at the Art Academy of Cincinnati where he also serves as Chair of the Master of Arts in Art Education program. His works have been exhibited regionally and internationaly. For the last 20 years, Benjamin has produced works made exclusively from objects and materials from his home, where he lives with his wife and two children.
