Cincinnati Art Museum Have you met "Ghost Cat"? :) Why do you think a cat was roaming around CAM in the 1940s? What would you have named this spooky kitty? Interesting to think about! Our Mary R. Schiff Library Archivist Geoff found some interesting info on the history of felines at the Art Museum... “As it happens, I was looking through some of the museum’s old account books recently and noticed there used to be a weekly order for “cat meat”. Could this have been an offering to appease the spirit of ghost cat..? Or maybe it was just to feed the museum’s resident mouser, but that’s not so spooky!” #throwbackthursday #halloween. Touch Tour: Chinese Treasures

Attendees meet in Front Lobby

Visitors with visual impairments and their families are invited to tour the Art Museum through touch on the second Saturday of every month. Specially trained docents provide verbal descriptions and guide participants through the process of seeing art with their fingertips. Each month features a different theme and focuses on 3 – 5 objects from the Art Museum’s permanent collection.
