Travel back in time to the Beat Generation era of Greenwich Village, Brooklyn with our newest exhibition From the Village to Vogue: The Modernist Jewelry of Art Smith and admire a time of fast, new ideas, designs and dances. Elementz will bring the beat of Art Smith’s spirit to the modern day with breakdancing (6 – 8 pm) and spoken word poetry inspired by the permanent collection. This Friday during Art After Dark, attend one of our tours of Bling through the collection, assisted by spoken word poets from Voices of Freedom (a division of Elementz). Tours will begin with two spoken word pieces, followed by a short tour of the special exhibition, From the Village to Vogue: The Modernist Jewelry of Art Smith.
