Cincinnati Art Museum Check out the new display in the Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives! To coincide with the end of TV’s “Mad Men” this month, we’re celebrating the work of a Cincinnati ad woman, Romilda Dilley. She was the head artist and art director for the Jenny department store in downtown Cincinnati from 1948 to 1956, and we’re displaying pieces of her artwork that were used to illustrate the store’s ads in The Enquirer. Because the illustrations are so large we can only show two at a time in our case, so we’ll be changing the display each week in May to show off as many of these fantastic pieces as possible. 3 hour ago via Facebook

Memories in the Museums: Decorative Arts + Design: Jewelry + Modernism

April 02, 2014 - 10:00 am to 11:30 am

WHERE:
Attendees meet in Front Lobby

Designed especially for visitors with memory loss and their caregivers, Memories in the Museum is a new program developed in partnership between the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Taft Museum of Art. On the first Wednesday of every month, participants join trained docents at one of the partner institutions to look at art together, discuss observations, and share memories. Multisensory and multi-modal activities complement each session and encourage remembering through all of the senses. All participants are invited for fellowship and refreshments prior to the session.
