Cincinnati Art Museum Have you met "Ghost Cat"? :) Why do you think a cat was roaming around CAM in the 1940s? What would you have named this spooky kitty? Interesting to think about! Our Mary R. Schiff Library Archivist Geoff found some interesting info on the history of felines at the Art Museum... “As it happens, I was looking through some of the museum’s old account books recently and noticed there used to be a weekly order for “cat meat”. Could this have been an offering to appease the spirit of ghost cat..? Or maybe it was just to feed the museum’s resident mouser, but that’s not so spooky!” #throwbackthursday #halloween. Art in the Making: Ink Drawing

November 16, 2013 - 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm

This is a rewarding experience that can enhance artistic development. It can do so much for a child, and can also add to your own appreciation for art making. This class format was designed for children ages 6–12 accompanied by an adult who’ll actively share in the art experience. This month explore ink drawings in the Art Museum with artist Christian Schmit before inking your own masterpiece in the studio.

$10 per pair Art Museum Members, $20 per pair non-members; ($3/$6 for each additional person). Reservations required.
