On the Road to Rookwood

March 01, 2014 - 09:30 am to 03:00 pm

WHERE:
Keller Center at St. Ursula Academy

Maria Longworth Storer founded the Rookwood Pottery Company in 1880, not only to bring the art of pottery to Cincinnati, but also to provide a good wage to working women. We will celebrate Rookwood Pottery, recognized internationally as an example of fine art pottery, on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Anita Ellis, Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, Cincinnati Art Museum and Riley Humler of Humler & Nolan, 12-year Appraiser on Antiques Roadshow, will identify and describe your two Rookwood treasures.

Sessions at 9:30am-12pm or 12:30-3pm
