Julia D. Pile I took a few of the Quick Recall team members to the @Cincinnati Art Museum on one of our snow days. I had never been to the museum and was very impressed. We had a good time. Enjoyed seeing the Van Gough, Warhols, Monets and Pissaros. One student was disappointed to not find any Mary Cassets though. The museum is rather large, so I would suggest splitting it into two visits. The kids were tired before we were half way through the second floor. #CincyArtInsider #GotItFree 11 hour ago via Facebook

Maria Longworth Storer founded the Rookwood Pottery Company in 1880, not only to bring the art of pottery to Cincinnati, but also to provide a good wage to working women. We will celebrate Rookwood Pottery, recognized internationally as an example of fine art pottery, on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Anita Ellis, Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, Cincinnati Art Museum and Riley Humler of Humler & Nolan, 12-year Appraiser on Antiques Roadshow, will identify and describe your two Rookwood treasures.
