Julia D. Pile I took a few of the Quick Recall team members to the @Cincinnati Art Museum on one of our snow days. I had never been to the museum and was very impressed. We had a good time. Enjoyed seeing the Van Gough, Warhols, Monets and Pissaros. One student was disappointed to not find any Mary Cassets though. The museum is rather large, so I would suggest splitting it into two visits. The kids were tired before we were half way through the second floor. #CincyArtInsider #GotItFree 12 hour ago via Facebook

Slow Art Day

April 12, 2014 - 11:00 am to 01:00 pm

WHERE:
Attendees meet in Front Lobby

From SlowArtDay.com:

One day each year – April 12 in 2014 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.

Take a stroll with us through the galleries from 11 - 12 p.m. discussing 5 pieces of art chosen by Lisa Jameson, Associate Professor of Art Education at Northern Kentucky University.

From 12 - 1 p.m., enjoy a box lunch ($10/person) in the Castellini Room accompanied by conversations with Lisa and members of our Learning and Interpretation Staff.
