Scout Ann on a recent trip to the art museum with our membership we got via bzzagent my 4 year old shared with me her favorite part of the art museum was the painting with "flowers and bugs that you made me look at for a long time to see what other things I could find in it". At least she got joy out of the art museum! 12 hour ago via Facebook

Slow Art Day

April 12, 2014 - 11:00 am to 01:00 pm

WHERE:
Attendees meet in Front Lobby

From SlowArtDay.com:

One day each year – April 12 in 2014 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.

Take a stroll with us through the galleries from 11 - 12 p.m. discussing 5 pieces of art chosen by Lisa Jameson, Associate Professor of Art Education at Northern Kentucky University.

From 12 - 1 p.m., enjoy a box lunch ($10/person) in the Castellini Room accompanied by conversations with Lisa and members of our Learning and Interpretation Staff.
