Cincinnati Art Museum Our #photography feature in Gallery 212 entitled "Unknown Elements", Now - Nov. 8, invites our guests to submit stories about the images within the gallery. Submit a short story and you may see it here throughout the month of October! Our first response, by Marisa Head, was inspired by an image by Florence Henri (1893–1982) United States. Portrait Composition (Woman with Three Bracelets), 1930, vintage gelatin silver print. Enjoy! 1 hour ago via Facebook

Slow Art Day

April 12, 2014 - 11:00 am to 01:00 pm

Attendees meet in Front Lobby

One day each year – April 12 in 2014 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.

Take a stroll with us through the galleries from 11 - 12 p.m. discussing 5 pieces of art chosen by Lisa Jameson, Associate Professor of Art Education at Northern Kentucky University.

From 12 - 1 p.m., enjoy a box lunch ($10/person) in the Castellini Room accompanied by conversations with Lisa and members of our Learning and Interpretation Staff.
