Cincinnati Art Museum #CAMLibraryShelfie: CAM staff will often borrow useful books from our Mary R. Schiff Library so that they can fully immerse themselves in #art while researching. Our Fashion Curatorial Assistant Adam MacPharlain chose to feature his favorite book while working in our #fashion storage department! Behold! The Collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute text "Fashion: A History from the 18th to the 20th Century" :) #shelfie 2 hour ago via Facebook

Slow Art Day

April 12, 2014 - 11:00 am to 01:00 pm

WHERE:
Attendees meet in Front Lobby

From SlowArtDay.com:

One day each year – April 12 in 2014 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.

Take a stroll with us through the galleries from 11 - 12 p.m. discussing 5 pieces of art chosen by Lisa Jameson, Associate Professor of Art Education at Northern Kentucky University.

From 12 - 1 p.m., enjoy a box lunch ($10/person) in the Castellini Room accompanied by conversations with Lisa and members of our Learning and Interpretation Staff.
