Auction house "Everything But The House" is pleased to announce an upcoming book sale to benefit The Cincinnati Art Museum. While the sale is small, many of the books are rare and currently unavailable elsewhere. Highlights of the sale include:

  • Five very rare copies (offered separately) of a booklet written by Maria Longworth Storer, Found of Rookwood Pottery, titled "History of the Cincinnati Music Festival and of the Rookwood Pottery" which includes Longworth Storer's choice of "Rookwood" as the name of the now renowned pottery.
  • Two first edition folio copies of "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe and illustrated by Gustave Dore, published in 1884.
  • A selection (10 separate bundles offered) of the 1920s French Fashion Magazine "Gazette Du Bon Ton" and Gazette Du Bon Genre", each containing vibrant color illustrations, many are Pochoirs, of Art Deco fashion by the leading illustrators of the day.

The pick up for this sale will be at the "Everything But The House" warehouse at:

4650 Wilmer Ave, Wednesday, May 21, 2 - 7 p.m.
