Queen City Chamber Opera is a professional opera company presenting works by canonical composers in alternative, intimate spaces, with a focus on emerging artists and accessibility. This production pairs two Turkish-themed operas: Mozart's unfinished masterpiece Zaide and Weber's ribald comedy Abu Hassan. Both will be sung in German with English dialogue between musical numbers. To complement your Arabian Nights experience, join us an hour prior to each performance for free docent-led tours of the Art Museum’s Near Eastern collection.
