Celebrating its 25th season, Evenings for Educators is the Cincinnati Art Museum’s monthly teacher professional development program taking place the third Wednesday of every month, September through May, except December. Through the lens of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, Evenings for Educators supports all subjects taught in the classroom. We encourage a STEM to STEAM approach as well as 21st. Century Learning strategies in the museum and classroom. This program is offered for teachers of all grade levels and disciplines, art appreciation volunteers, pre-service education majors, teaching artists as well as community and museum educators.
To commemorate Evenings for Educators 25th anniversary, during each monthly session we will reflect back on our past years of programming. Additionally, we will weave vintage Evenings for Educators lesson plans throughout the 2014-2015 season to compare and contrast approaches to teaching with works of art throughout the years. Don’t miss any session this season, as there will be lots to learn from our past 25 years of programming as well as lots to look forward to as we prepare for our upcoming years.
