List of Works

The list of works on this site will provide basic cataloguing information, an image when available, and a link to the known provenance of each item. The provenance is listed chronologically with the earliest owner first, continuing until the work came into the possession of the Cincinnati Art Museum. An owner listed within parentheses indicates a gallery or a dealer. Each entry includes a brief description of the painting. The accession number for each object reflects the calendar year that it entered into the museum's collection and the sequence in which it was received. Where applicable, former attributions, alternate titles, and artist signatures are included. Also, in many instances, footnotes are provided to enhance or clarify provenance entries.
