the Lens of Color

Certain colors evoke certain smells, sounds, and sights. You’ll walk into the Art Museum and experience vermillion, emerald, azure, or sienna through carefully planned gallery discussions, art making, and performances. When you think of vermillion, you might imagine the Hindu ritual of using sindhoor, or you may imagine the richness of Renaissance art. The Art Museum’s renowned collection and special exhibitions serve as the catalyst, which help us create different experiences.
