Oval portrait head of the artist. Looking directly at the viewer, he turns slightly to the left.

[1] A label on the back of the painting indicates Porter loaned the painting to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The MFAB identified the loan period to have been May 24, 1916 to January 17, 1917. Correspondence, November 30, 2001.
