August 30—November 16, 2014
For the first time, the iconic American Gothic, on loan from the Art Institute of Chicago, will appear in Cincinnati alongside the Art Museum’s own Daughters of Revolution. Accompanied by other quintessential works by artists of the Regionalist Movement, the Art Museum will host a variety of programs and events stimulating conversation around the definition of “realism” as an artistic style, small town and rural life, stereotypes, nationalism, and what it means to be an American. See link for information about the exhibition and related programming.
