This season's Luncheon and Lecture Series are:
Monday December 16, 2013 - Degas, Renior, and Poetic Pastels
10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Degas, Renoir, and Poetic Pastels features a selection of pastels from the Cincinnati Art Museum’s world renowned permanent collection. From Alfred Sisley’s vibrant winter landscape to Degas’ poignant ballet dancers to Odilon Redon’s majestic flower still-life to Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s portrait of glamorous actress Jeanne Samary, this exhibition will highlight the bold achievements of French artists working with pastel in the second half of the nineteenth century.
10:30 a.m. Registration in the Cincinnati Art Museum Main Lobby
11:00 a.m. Lecture given by Esther Bell, Curator of European Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture, followed by conversation with Bob Strohsahl, owner of Great American Art Works. Boxed lunch served following lecture.
