volunteer opportunities

Join a group of creative and enthusiastic individuals who dedicate their time and energy to improve the Art Museum and the Greater Cincinnati community. Art Museum volunteers can fill a variety of positions, including visitor relations, docent corps, and fundraising. These highly valued individuals provide a key role to support the Art Museum’s mission to bring people and art together.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Volunteers must be current Art Museum Members.
  • Select volunteer groups require an annual dues fee. Dues are used to fund mailings, trainings, and other activities in order to be   completely self-supporting and not affect the Art Museum’s budget. The one exception is the Docent Corp, whose dues are used for other docent-related activities. Please see the detailed information about each group for the specific dues amount.
  • Complete a Volunteer Application

Find the volunteer group that suits your interests and strengths:

Docent Corps

Docents are volunteer educators trained to present tours and programs to the public. They share their knowledge of the Art Museum and its collection with a broad range of audiences, both in the Art Museum and in the community, to encourage a life-long love of the visual arts.
