Join a group of creative and enthusiastic individuals who dedicate their time and energy to improve the Art Museum and the Greater Cincinnati community. Art Museum volunteers can fill a variety of positions, including visitor relations, docent corps, and fundraising. These highly valued individuals provide a key role to support the Art Museum’s mission to bring people and art together.

Docents are volunteer educators trained to present tours and programs to the public. They share their knowledge of the Art Museum and its collection with a broad range of audiences, both in the Art Museum and in the community, to encourage a life-long love of the visual arts.
Founded in 1994, the Donald P. Sowell Committee promotes enhanced relationships between the Art Museum and Cincinnati’s African American community through special events and fundraising. Members attend monthly meetings September through May.
Pursue your own art interests with exclusive programs and events while supporting various Art Museum projects. The Duveneck Association hosts monthly lectures, tours, and day trips for its members
The Cincinnati Art Museum Shop relies on dependable, well trained and committed volunteers to staff the shop and reach its sales goals.
Work directly with visitors to ensure they feel welcome, informed about the collections and programs, and have an overall positive experience at the Art Museum. Visitor Service Aides work closely with Visitor Services staff to help meet Art Museum attendance, membership, and other goals.
Support the Art Museum by hosting the Women’s Committee Lunch and Lecture series, fundraising programs, and special events.
Interested in volunteering at the Art Museum or have school-based community service requirements? High school volunteers are needed to assist with our Family First Saturdays program, as well as certain special events.
Departmental Volunteers serve a key role in assisting Art Museum staff with various projects. In the past, volunteers have assisted with mailings, research projects for Curators, phone calls, and filing.

Support the Art Museum by helping plan fundraisers and benefits including Art in Bloom and many other programs. Volunteers are recruited on an as-needed basis.
