Research Assistant

Research Assistant

The Cincinnati Art Museum has an immediate opening for a part time (average of 14 hours per week) Research Assistant to work in our Visitor Research Department. This is a temporary, part time position that will not exceed 375 worked hours.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: The Research Assistant will support in the creation, distribution, and collection of various surveys within the Cincinnati Art Museum. This position will also assist with data analysis by entering and coding sets of data, and by properly organizing and archiving survey materials. The Research Assistant will maintain and update the Loyalty Membership database, will distribute incentives to research participants, write internal satisfaction reports, and conduct survey collection on the floor. The position will also be responsible for managing department volunteers and will be expected to attend special events during the evenings and weekends. Work hours are flexible and will vary. The position is part-time and is expected to extend to August of 2014. The position will be paid $8.00 an hour and will not exceed 375 hours.

Requirements: Applicant must be a High school graduate pursuing a postsecondary degree (preferred degree in Sociology, Marketing Research, Public Administration, Museum Studies, or similar research oriented degrees). Applicant should have strong research, writing, and verbal skills and experience in Excel (SPSS preferred).
