InDepth: Memories: Some Favorite Objects, An Exhibition Selected by Emily Rauh Pulitzer

The Art Museum established the Cincinnati Art Award to honor a Cincinnatian who has had a significant impact on our culture at a national and international level through the making, collecting, or promoting of visual art. This year’s recipient, Emily Rauh Pulitzer, is a native of Cincinnati and recipient of the 2011 National Medal of Arts. Mrs. Pulitzer has tirelessly promoted a discussion on modern and contemporary art and architecture while helping to steward and enhance one of this country’s greatest private collections. Anita Ellis, Deputy Director of Collections, will discuss the companion exhibition, which showcases not only spectacular pieces from Mrs. Pulitzer’s collection, but also work from our important Mask Gorget to pieces by Picasso and de Kooning.
