It’s here! Catch a sneak peek of the iconic painting American Gothic before it officially opens on August 30! Start your night with a docent-led tour of our American folk art collection. Tours meet in the Great Hall at 5:30 p.m. (members-only),6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (general public). Afterwards, head over to our American Gothic Photo Booth provided by Jess W. Photography. Then, unwind in our Bourbon & Beer Garden from 5-9pm featuring local beers, bourbon and live music by Jake Speed and the Freddies from 6—8 p.m.
Dialogues with Artists at Art After Dark
Contemporary art lovers, head to the Art Museum’s Mary R. Schiff Library, the new rooftop library space, from 7 - 8 p.m. for a discussion on Contemporary Art in 10 Images with Gary Gaffney, artist, teacher and professor emeritus at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Enjoy refreshments and informal conversations with the artist during this 2014-15 Dialogues with Artists series event.
Art After Dark is FREE with drinks and appetizers available for purchase. Dialogues with Artists is also FREE. Reservations not required.
Admission to Conversations around American Gothic is $8 Adults; $5 Students with valid ID; FREE for children 12 and under; FREE for Art Museum Members. See exhibition page for details.
Beer Garden participants must be 21 or older and have a valid ID. Tickets are required to participate in the Beer Garden and can be purchased at the front desk ($1 for a taste/$10 for 12 tastes).
