Art Museum Day 2014

May 18, 2014 - 11:00 am to 05:00 pm

Happy Art Museum Day! This special day emphasizes the essential role that art museums play in their communities, highlights the value of the visual arts in society, and provides new opportunities for audiences to participate in the wide-ranging programs offered by Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) member museums.

This year, the Cincinnati Art Museum is presenting a variety of different programs to celebrate Art Museum Day. The Cincinnati Art Museum also invites visitors to share their experiences on Art Museum Day via social media with the hashtag #ArtMuseumDay.

While most museums celebrate Art Museum Day by offering free admission, the Cincinnati Art Museum is already free every day! Instead, we invite you to participate in one of our fun and engaging programs that celebrate art today:

Bring Your Own Craft (BYOC): Cut Paper Designs 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Public Tours: Highlights of the Permanent Collection 1 p.m. & 2 p.m.

Family ARTventures Art Stop 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Family Focus Scavenger Hunts, available at the front desk 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
