La Belle Femme, 1900 Luncheon

Monday, May 6, 2019 | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

We invite you to a presentation that will introduce you to the incomparable style and elements of fashion that created the allure of the Parisian woman of 1900.  Enjoy a film reflection of the hourglass silhouette’s components in “Le Coucher de la Mariee”, and explore the emotions contained behind the prim and proper façade of elegance and sophistication that Paris 1900: City of Entertainment celebrated.

After the film, we will enjoy a presentation by Kandie Carle, performing The Victorian Lady: Dressing from Corset to Gloves. Ms. Carle created this performance to share her passion for history, culture and social reflection.

The presentation in the Fath Auditorium will be followed by an elegant French-inspired luncheon in the Great Hall.
