This evening's presentatio n for educators focuses on the exhibition Longing: Painting from the Pahari Kingdoms of the Northwest Himalayas. This exhibition explores the colorful and \;exquisitely detailed court paintings produced in the northwestern Himalayas of present-day India between the seventeenth a nd nineteenth centuries. Organized around the theme of “longing\,” this i nnovative exhibition encourages visitors to experience art in a multi-sen sory presentation. Participants will enjoy dinner\, a presentation\, and a docent-guided tour of the exhibition. For each program attended\, educa tors earn CEUs and one graduate credit\, which is available for an additi onal fee.

Evenings for Educators is the museum’s monthly professional development program fo r teachers. Through the lens of the museum’s collection and exhibitions\, Evenings for Educators supports all subjects taught in the classroom. It also encourages a STREAM approach\, as well as Twenty-First Century Lear ning strategies.
