Registration for fall sessions opens at noon on Tuesday\, September 16.

November 1\, 8\, 15\, 22 – Acrylic Painting \;
Look at paintings up close in th e museum’s galleries\, then learn how to build color\, depth\, and textur e with acrylic paints.

Build your child’s creative confidence and f oundational artistic skills in this drop-off program for young artists ag es 9–12. Each monthly four-class session\, taught by instructors from the Art Academy of Cincinnati\, focuses on a specific medium or technique—su ch as drawing\, painting\, printmaking\, or textiles. Sessions begin with a guided art viewing experience in the museum’s galleries\, where childr en will engage with inspiring works and ideas. Then\, in our ground-floor classrooms\, they will dive into hands-on learning and art making\, appl ying what they’ve seen to create their own original pieces. \;

Registration details:

After registration\, you will receive an email with program details and a child information form. This form mu st be submitted before the start of the class session in order for your c hild to participate. \;
Waitlists will become available whe n sessions are full. If contacted by waitlist administrators\, you will h ave 24 hours to confirm your slot. \;
Refunds will be issue d\, minus a $10 non-refundable deposit\, up to two weeks prior to the cla ss session's start date. No refunds will be issued within two weeks of th e class session’s start date. \;
Information for spring ses sions will be available in November. Registration for spring sessions (Ja nuary–May) will open at 12 noon on December 9. \;
There are a limited number of scholarship spots available for each class session. If you are interested in a scholarship\, please fill out an application form. Scholarship applications must be submitte d at least two weeks before the session start date. \;
