Join us in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives for a summer camp full of exploration, experimentation, and creation. Participate in daily gallery visits, hands-on art making, collaborative art installations, and more! Explore four different themes for each age group with activities taught by skilled museum educators. Campers will host an art show at the end of each week for friends and family. Weekly camp activities are designed for either ages 6–8 or ages 9–12. Convenient before- and after-care is available. (Please note there is no after-care on Fridays.)

The Cincinnati Art Museum has recently updated their cancellation policy for summer camps. Please note that full refunds will be guaranteed up to two weeks (14 days) before your summer camp begins. No refunds will be given within two weeks of your summer camp start date.

Jump into your favorite stories and create literature-themed artworks. Explore different book genres each day, read stories and gain inspiration. You will make your own art inspired by your favorite stories, places, and characters. Learn techniques in book binding, illustration and drawing, painting, and sculpting to make your stories come to life.

If you can think it, you can make it…mini! Tinker with small objects to create mini sculptures or machines. Make and mold mini animals and food out of clay. Build tiny objects from recycled materials, and paint mini-masterpieces.

Travel through time to learn the techniques of the masters. Explore the museum to learn about a new time period of art each day and gain art-making skills inspired by artists of that time. Engage in hands-on activities to grow your techniques and knowledge in painting, drawing, sculpting, and printmaking.

Explore architecture in the museum and outside looking at the Cincinnati skyline to create projects of your own design. Collaborate with your fellow ARTchitects to design a city and use STEM learning to design structures, buildings, and sculptures from recycled materials.
