A regal Art After Dark event on Friday, January 27

CINCINNATI – All Cincinnati queens and kings are invited for an historical night celebrating art-inspired royalty at the Cincinnati Art Museum’s FREE event Art After Dark: Queen City Royals, 5–9 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017.


Queen City Royals event guests can anticipate a regal evening to remember with after-hours gallery access, live music from Wilder, a wine tasting and cheese sampler available for purchase, floral crown-making and more!

Attendees may complete a survey for a chance to win tickets to Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s production of Henry VI: The War of Roses, Part 2 and tickets to upcoming exhibitions Dressed to Kill: Japanese Arms & Armor and Transcending Reality: The Woodcuts of Kosaka Gajin, opening February 11, 2017.

The Art After Dark itinerary consists of:

  • Happy hour from 5–6 p.m. Guests 21+ only.
  • Wine tasting featuring selections by Corkopolis and a cheese sampler available for purchase in the Terrace Café. Guests 21+ only.
    Live music by local band Wilder from 6–8 p.m. in the Great Hall.
  • In collaboration with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, a royal costume display and Shakespeare Selfie Stand will be stationed in the Great Hall. Attendees will receive a buy one, get one FREE voucher to see Henry VI: The War of Roses, Part 2.
  • Floral crown-making in the Terrace Café from 5–8 p.m., or while supplies last. Limited seating available.
  • Guided tours of “royal” art from the museum’s permanent collection at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tours meet outside the Cincinnati Wing in front of the Eve statue.
