CINCINNATI – November 9, 2015 – The Cincinnati Art Museum has received a $50,000 grant from The Hearst Foundation, Inc. to help enrich our School-Based Learning and Teen Programs led by the museum’s Learning & Interpretation Department.
The School-Based Learning programs include Guided School Tours, LookSeeDo, Virtual Field Trips, Evening for Educators, and the Summer Teaching Institute. Teen programs include the Young Artist Open Studio and the Teen Volunteers program. The Cincinnati Art Museum and the Hearst Foundation are eager to see these programs grow with the addition of the Rosenthal Education Center (REC) last spring, which adds to the learning part of the museum’s core experience.
“The Cincinnati Art Museum is grateful for the generous contribution from the Hearst Foundation. The Learning & Interpretation team will continue to evolve and influence museum visitors, schools, and developing minds within our diverse community,” said Cameron Kitchin, the Louis and Louise Dieterle Nippert Director. “We extend our gratitude for the foundation’s support of the Art Museum and educational programs and look forward to expanding our capabilities.”
The Hearst Foundations are comprised of The Hearst Foundation, Inc. and the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, and provide national philanthropic resources for organizations and institutions working in the fields of Education, Health, Culture and Social Service. Their goal is to ensure that people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to build healthy, productive and inspiring lives.
