Mrs. George Hoadly, Cincinnati, until 1942, given to; Cincinnati Art Museum, 1942-present. Notes: [1] ] Mrs. Hoadly may have owned Seascape as early as 1921 when she loaned a painting by Ziem to an exhibition of French paintings at the CAM, organized by the Ladies Auxiliary Committee, March 17-March 31. No checklist with titles and dimensions of the exhibited paintings exists to clarify if Seascape was included. The list of lenders and artists is held in the CAM archives, Director's Incoming Correspondence, Box 90, Folder F, page 747.
