IRiS Alloy Series #23 - Multisensoriality, Longing, and Art
Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 6–8 p.m.
Free. Reservations required.
Join us for the 23rd IRiS Alloy, titled “Multisensoriality, Longing, and Art,” on Thursday, February 19 from 6–8 p.m. in the Great Hall at the Cincinnati Art Museum. IRiS Alloys are adventurous, participatory discussions where people from diverse viewpoints meet to wander together in conversation on a topic related to sensing or perception. As always, IRiS Alloys are free and open to the public. Join us and contribute your thoughts and ideas as we talk about how art engages with the senses and how this is related to emotional impact, memory, and longing.
This particular Alloy was co-developed with Dr. Ainsley Cameron, Curator of South Asian Art, Islamic Art, and Antiquities and Sara Birkofer, Associate Director of Accessibility and Wellness Programs at the Cincinnati Art Museum, and designed as a companion program to the recently opened special exhibit titled "
Longing: Painting from the Pahari Kingdoms of the Northwest Himalayas," which guests can view before the start of the conversation. Joining us will be art therapist Charlotte Reed from Art Equals, architect, designer, and artist Nandita Baxi Sheth, multimedia artist and educator Britni Bicknaver, and poet and essayist Preeti Parikh.
