Join us this summer for an immersive, three‑day creative experience designed just for teens. The Teen Summer Intensive welcomes young artists ages 13–18 into the museum for a hands-on deep dive into the world of portraiture, guided by a teaching-accredited, practicing portrait artist. Participants will explore CAM’s portrait galleries with museum docents and enjoy rare behind‑the‑scenes access to spaces like the Jacobs Study Center and conservation lab. Most of the time will be spent in the studio, where the teaching artist will lead focused drawing and painting sessions that build confidence and sharpen technique. By the end of the intensive, young artists will leave with new skills, knowledge about careers in fine arts fields, and a finished portrait painting ready for their portfolio.
