The Women’s Committee supports the Cincinnati Art Museum by offering informative programs for members, exploring art around Cincinnati, promoting participation in museum activities, and raising funds. Since its inception in 1973, the Women’s Committee has financially assisted with art purchases, exhibitions, and other museum needs.
The annual Membership includes monthly luncheons and meetings to hear various experts discuss current exhibitions, some aspect of the museum’s collection, or taking an off-site tour to a collection of interest.

Kick off the season with Dr. Hou-mei Sung, Curator of Eastern Asian Art, as she discusses Rediscovered Treasures. This exhibition will feature the hidden gems of East Asian Art, many of which were not fully documented or accessioned until the past decade, when through advanced research and conservation they were identified by Cincinnati Art Museum.
Dr. Peter Bell, Curator of European Paintings, Sculpture and Drawings, will join us to speak about the European Gallery permanent collection. Hear about some of his favorite pieces, and his process for acquiring them. In Fall 2026, the collection will travel to Japan for a year, while the European Gallery at the Cincinnati Art Museum undergoes renovation.
We kindly welcome you to our annual Holiday Market! Beginning at 10:00 a.m., stroll the hallways for the perfect gift for yourself or others! At 11:30 a.m. we will be treated to a special performance by the SCPA’s Acapella Group, The Baby Grands, followed by a festive luncheon in the Great Hall.
Mary Ran is a Past Chair and current board member of the Women’s Committee, as well as the current Chair of the Duveneck Association. In 1976, she established the Mary Ran Gallery-- a Fine Art Gallery that has contributed greatly to the local and global 19th-21st century American and European art market. Mary will share her knowledge and speak about the History of Women Artists in Cincinnati.
Join us as we hear from Dr. Ainsley Cameron, Curator of South Asian Art, Islamic Art and Antiquities, as she speaks about the vibrant colors and intricate details of the exhibition, Longing: Painting from the Pahari Kingdoms, 1680-1820. These paintings depict themes of love and longing, drawing inspiration from poetic traditions and narratives of the time period.
We invite you to join us for a members only exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Cincinnati Art Museum. In small groups, you will have the opportunity to explore parts of the museum rarely seen by the public. You will not want to miss this educational and engaging program!
Field trip! We will be meeting at Music Hall for a special tour of this historic landmark. Impressive from the outside, it is arguably more remarkable on the inside as the home to the Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, May Festival and the Cincinnati Ballet.
Originally Music Hall served the City as its first convention center, which firmly established the multi-use character of this unique venue, hosting sporting events, exhibits, trade shows, dances and more. It has also been a historic destination for classical and contemporary artists. We hope you will join us for this special tour highlighting some of the artwork and architecture of Music Hall.
We will end the season with Cynthia Amnéus, Cincinnati Art Museum Chief Curator and Curator of Fashion Arts and Textiles, as she discusses a new exhibition on Meeting Elizabeth Hawes and American Women Designers.
