Drawn from our holdings, this installation celebrates Japanese fashion from our collection of prints, east Asian, and fashion arts. Rarely seen because of their light sensitivity, these objects coincide with a lecture by Fashion Arts curator, Cynthia Amneus, on kimono and relates to the Cincinnati Opera’s production of Puccini’s heart-rending Madame Butterfly.
