Build your child’s creative confidence and foundational artistic skills in this drop-off program for young artists ages 9–12. Each monthly four-class session, taught by instructors from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, focuses on a specific medium or technique—such as drawing, painting, printmaking, or textiles. Sessions begin with a guided art viewing experience in the museum’s galleries, where children will engage with inspiring works and ideas. Then, in our ground-floor classrooms, they will dive into hands-on learning and art making, applying what they have seen to create their own original pieces. 

After registration, you will receive an email with program details and a child-information form. This form must be submitted before the start of the class session for your child to participate. 

Waitlists will become available when sessions are full. If contacted by waitlist administrators, you will have 24 hours to confirm your slot. Call the front desk at 513-639-2983 to be added to the waitlist. 

Refunds will be issued, minus a $10 non-refundable deposit, up to two weeks prior to the class session’s start date. No refunds will be issued within two weeks of the class session’s start date. 

There are a limited number of scholarship spots based on financial need available for each class session. If you are interested in a scholarship, please fill out the scholarship application form. Scholarship applications must be submitted at least two weeks before the session’s start date.
