Evenings for Future Educators – From Museum to Classroom with Kenton Brett

Turn the museum into your teaching lab. In this hands-on workshop, pre-service educators explore how objects spark inquiry, practice inclusive and student-centered teaching strategies, and build confidence as classroom facilitators. This fall’s session will feature Cincinnati artist and educator Kenton Brett, the 2026 Rosenthal Education Center (REC) Artist-in-Residence. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP, Brett is the owner and operator of Kentco Creative, where he blends traditional art making with modern technology to tell short stories. Participants will enjoy dinner, a guided tour of the REC installation, beacon:beckon, and take part in a collaborative project presented by Brett.

About Evenings for Future Educators  

A museum-based professional learning series designed to connect future educators, creative professionals, and higher education partners through shared exploration and community building. Held once each fall and spring semester, these workshops bring together pre-service teachers, fine arts and studio majors, early-career educators, higher-education faculty and staff, and community-based education professionals. Participants explore how the museum can serve as a resource for teaching, learning, creativity, and professional growth. Guests are encouraged to build cross-disciplinary connections and engage with peers from colleges and universities throughout the region.
