  • A gallery attendant will always be present in the room, and they will handle access to the door.
  • Please anticipate changes in light, sound, and reflective elements. Some visitors may find the changes in sensory input disorienting.
  • Expect to spend up to 30 minutes, total, in the exhibition (including queuing and viewing the Kusama prints and paintings).

  • We will do our best to adhere to your entrance time.

Because of the delicate nature of the art, there are security rules in the gallery.

  • Your visit lasts 1 minute and 30 seconds; please exit when directed.
  • Do not touch the art and stay aware of your surroundings.

  • Cameras and phones must stay within the platform and never be held over the barriers—and must be attached to your body via a lanyard.
  • Keep your hands close to your body while inside the installation.
  • No belongings are allowed inside the installation except securely tethered phones or cameras. A designated area directly at the entrance of the immersive experience room will be provided for belongings to be left while inside the installation. CAM is not responsible for lost or stolen objects.
  • There is no re-entry into the installation or introduction gallery.

Access

  • To enter the room there is a 2-foot-long ramp transitioning a 2-inch rise without handrails.
  • The viewing space inside the room is approximately 30 inches wide. Please take this into consideration if you are a user of a mobility device.
  • For individuals using a mobility device, please be advised that you will exit the room by moving backwards through the same door and down the ramp as you entered.
  • As with all exhibitions, a gallery attendant will be present in the room at all times. It is not the responsibility of the attendant to provide assistance in any way to visitors, or to supervise unattended children under the age of 15 while adults are inside the installation.
  • Inside the room visitors should anticipate changes in light and sound and reflective elements. Some visitors may find the changes in sensory input disorienting.
  • The space may not be suitable for visitors that experience claustrophobia.

Visiting with children under 16

  • Please use discretion when bringing small children; artwork is within their reach.
  • Children under a year are free but still need a timed ticket and must be carried or in a front-style infant carrier. (An adult holding a child or with a child in a carrier counts as the two people in the room.)
  • Ticket holders can only enter the installation one time per ticket. Tickets will be scanned for entry.
  • Visitors aged 15 and under must enter with a ticket-holding adult.
  • Children aged 15 and under cannot wait outside the installation alone and must be with a ticket-holding adult in line.
  • No strollers inside the installation. A stroller parking area is available in the gallery right near the immersive installation.
  • We encourage children to keep their arms crossed in front of their torso when they are inside the room. Very small children must be held.
