The Drip Lab is a hands-on textile workshop series that helps participants build skills in sewing, visible mending, textile design, and creative garment transformation while exploring sustainability and self-expression. Inspired by works from the museum’s collection and exhibitions, each session is facilitated by local BIPOC creatives in collaboration with the museum.

This very-first session will be led by Jennifer Cox, Cincinnati native and owner of Make.Do, an inclusive yarn, fabric, and fiber craft shop located in the Pleasant Ridge neighborhood.

Participants will design and carve their own printing blocks to print original patterns onto canvas tote bags to take home. The event also celebrates the work of Cincinnati-based printmaker Terence Hammonds, whose print-based art, spanning ceramics, textiles, and wallpaper, will be featured in the exhibition Soul is a Ham Hock in Your Cornflakes. The workshop brings a major cultural institution and a local and nationally recognized artist to a neighborhood library setting, making printmaking and public art accessible to West End residents of all ages and skill levels.

This event will be held at West End Branch Library at 805 Ezzard Charles Dr., Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
